The Polynesian Voyaging Society's 2007 Voyage to Micronesia and Japan is a Celebration of Pacific Voyaging, Cultures, and Islands.
Where is the Hokule`a right now?
To help us keep track of the canoe a radio transmitter is placed on board. The radio sends the position of the Hokule`a to the ARGOS system thats on the NOAA polar satellites orbiting the earth. The information is processed and the position of the Hokule`a is computed and provided to us by the University of Hawaii Oceanography Department.
